Hi Luze!

Thanks for maintaining this site! All of your post for DIY are very helpful. I’m planning to do some DIY for my wedding next year like souvenirs, earings for my entourage, menu cards, table nos., our matches, bible, candles, cords etc.

God Bless!

Haha… Luzel, you are cute! I love this site! Keep the good ideas comin’!

Still not sure what I will end up DIYing for my wedding. I have had tons of ideas, we’ll see what sticks.

But I do know that I want to design my own monogram. Also, I am toying with the idea of making mosaic trays to have on each table as a centerpiece – I LOVE making mosaics. The only issue is time… and when I will find enough of it. But I will keep everyone posted on my blog!

I love your site! I am DIYing anything and everything my time budget allows: the invitations, programs, STD’s, escort cards, thank you’s, favors (when I think of one), my monogram thanks to your last post, jars for the girls to put their flowers in at the reception, and whatever else I can think of…

Yes I am a proud subscriber!!!! Keep up the fab work.

I may not be tackling as many DIY projects as other brides but I use your site as reference, inspiration, and just to find out cool things.

hi luzel! i love your daily posts and have been collecting some ideas for my wedding in a year (and sending ideas to my best friend who is also getting married in a year!).
i’ll be DIYing the reception floral, invitations & STDs, programs, jewelry for the bm’s, and hopefully working on some projects for our parents…just not sure what yet!
thanks for all your great DIY ideas!

i love weddings! i’m already married but it’s fun to pass on ideas to others who haven’t yet said their vows. : )

I’m one of your subscribers and I love your blog! I’d love to DIY everything for the wedding but I’m DIYing the guestbook, the favors/place cards, and programs. And maybe some other things I can sneak in like gifts for the ‘maids.

Thanks for all the great ideas and instructions in one easy place!

Love the website keep up the good finds!

I’m planning on DIYing ALOT…including…
Centerpieces, BM flowers, invitations, monogram, programs, OOT guest bags, candy bar, favors, aisle runner, menus, flower girl baskets, and maybe just maybe someone will stop me….

thanks for all the great info! its great to have it on one cohesive site instead of going everywhere….

I’m a subscriber, too (on Google Reader). I love this site; it’s more than just inspiration, it’s actual help! We diy-ed our STDs, and now it’s on to the invitations and rest of the paper suite (programs, escort cards, etc), including the calligraphy. We’re also diy-ing all the flowers, including centerpieces, and I’m diy-ing my veil and bustle. Lots of other little things along the way, as well! Thanks for such a great site!

14 Jennifer { 09.17.08 at 10:39 am }

Hi Luzel!! Love your blog, I’ve been a subscriber for a while!! You have some great ideas!!
I’m DIY-ing just about everything I can. I’m making my daughter’s dress, designed our stationary, did my own STD’s, plan on a quilt guestbook, doing my own flowers and centerpieces, and possibly my own cake.
Beyong that, I’m a huge crafter and some of your ideas have filtered down into my craft piles!
Thanks for such a fabulous blog!!
Jennifer

Yay, I’m one of the subscribers! I found the blog somewhat randomly last week and immediately added it to my Google Reader :-)

As for what I’m iDIY’ing…STD, invitations, programs, guestbook and decorations. My mom is doing the flowers and the dress and a friend of hers is doing the cake. Really the only things we’re outsourcing to people we don’t personally know is the music, the photography and the bridesmaid’s dresses! (And that last one is only because I have two bridesmaids who live out of state from my mom!)

I am one of your stalkers – proud to say it!
We designed our own Save the Dates (but had vistprint print them because straight lines and small details (like smudges) are not my thing). We will be using this method for the weekend packet planner, and the programs. We are thinking of doing the same thing (though through a fancier printer) for our invites.
Oh, and I am making the shoes for me and all my bridesmaids.

18 amy frank { 09.17.08 at 12:04 pm }

hi iDiY! i heart your site very much..i think i even mentioned you on my blog recently?

i have recently just finished my first diy for my wedding…my std’s & envelope liners..and now i’m addicted! i didn’t think i could do it…but with so many great sites out there (esp. yours) i felt like i had support all the way. :) http://amylynnfrank.blogspot.com/2008/09/invites-save-datesalmost-finished.html

i also plan on doing my invites, programs (perhaps as fans?), my cake topper, centerpieces…jewelry for my bridesmaids…and whatever else i can get my anxious little diy hands on!

keep up the good work! (oh…somebody already said that).

Hi! I just found your site about a week ago, and am looking forward to exploring thoroughly. I am DIYing a bunch of stuff, like invitations, centerpeices, bouquet, dress, veil, etc. I wanted to DIY my cake with my absolutely famous and secret banana cake, just bake it and have someone else decorate it, but the lady here in Costa Rica isn’t interested.

Mostly I am DIYing because we moved to Costa Rica and there aren’t many beautiful options for stuff. Everything is made in China and very tacky. And we’d like to save money. So we’ll see how it goes!

20 Jo { 09.17.08 at 2:16 pm }

I’ve been loving your site too, didn’t mean to stalk!
Really looking forward to getting stuck into some wedding DIY including possibly my dress

21 Emily { 09.17.08 at 2:41 pm }

I just came across your site about a week ago (through Wedding Bee) and although I’m kind of terrified of DIY, I really want to try it out. Your site has definitely inspired me to at least TRY. Thanks for that and you can count on me to stalk regularly!

22 Anna { 09.17.08 at 5:50 pm }

I really love your blog and also came across it through Wedding Bee. Your advice has been so helpful to me, especially since I am DIY-ing the Save the Dates, invitations (with my lovely Gocco), website…I’m also making pinwheels for the ceremony (don’t ask), these little chairs out of champagne cages to decorate the bar table or possibly to hold the place cards, and maybe the favors. You have a great eye…keep up the good work!

23 Polka Dot Bride { 09.17.08 at 6:28 pm }

Proud subscriber here! I’m not DIYing just loving your lovely blog!

24 mcb { 09.17.08 at 6:41 pm }

I’m a subscriber, your website has been incredibly helpful for ideas! We are 1/2 DIY-ing a few things: re-painting all of our decorations for the church and the reception, 1/2 of our save-the-dates, and then we’re DIYing coat check tags, bridesmaids stationery and a few other gifts if I get around to it, programs, and out-of-town packets and bags. Keep it up with the site, it’s a great resource!

25 Luzel { 09.17.08 at 9:40 pm }

WHOA. I’m totally blown away by all your wonderful comments.
Thank you everyone for all the blog-love!!! It’s very much appreciated :-)

Knowing that you read what I write here is so cool! I love blogging about my finds but there were times when I wondered if I was
just talking to myself, LOL. Thank you all for keeping me company.
It’s become my therapy while the hubby’s traveling cross-country these days for work :)

Lots of amazing ideas and projects out there. Wowie wow. I think this calls for more regular watercooler posts :-) Looking forward to more creative exchanges with y’all awesome ladies. You really made my day. No, make that my week. Thank you!

26 Luzel { 09.17.08 at 10:00 pm }

P.S. Lest I forget, credit also goes to my friend MANDY who’s blogging here too. Another friend Sharonel will also be contributing soon!! These two awesome and talented ladies have inspired and helped me a great deal during my planning. I’m so happy that they’re here blogging with me too!!

27 jessica @ budgetsavvybride { 09.18.08 at 3:43 pm }

I’m a subscriber! Been following for a few weeks now. Love the things you find- very helpful and fun! :)

I’m DIYing everything practically… invites, STDs, centerpieces, ring pillow, candy bar, you name it, I’m doin’ it. Gotta save money where I can!

Thanks to all our subscribers! :) We’ll definitely try our bestest to make posts that will help you out in your wedding projects! :)

32 Hayley { 09.21.08 at 5:32 pm }

I’m another of your subscribers! I love your posts, there’s always something funky that I immediately want to go and try myself.

We’re iDIYing our stationery (from Save the Dates to Order of Service/Programme books), favours, our cake and, if my H2B will let me, the flowers (he’s worried I’ll be too stressed!). My mum is making my dress and my future father-in-law is marrying us. It’s a real family affair 😀

33 Rox { 09.22.08 at 5:54 am }

Luzel and Mandy!!! BOW to the great ideas you’re sharing with us. Love reading everything here. =D

I plan to DIY our tissue packets, menu cards, program cards, thank you cards, table numbers, and a lot more. I just hope that I can finish them on time. =D

34 Katherine { 09.22.08 at 1:11 pm }

Oh, and the cake, duh! I’m going to make our cake, too :)
