Spool’s Bird Softies

Ok, this is not bird overload, but we really do love birds here. So here’s another fun DIY for a bird-themed wedding, especially if those lovely Anne Woods’ birdies are a budget no-go. The people from Spool created this PDF pattern that you could download for free. Instructions for sewing are also included.
I think these would be great as caketoppers or even as additional reception decor (hang mobiles, use in centerpieces, use some more, or simply scatter ’round tables). The fact that you can still use them after the wedding is even better. For more ideas, click over to the Spool Birdies Flickr Pool and see what other peeps have created.

Can anyone tell me how and when in the sewing process to attach the wire feet so these sweetie tweeties can perch themselves on a branch on my table?
I use Velcro One Wrap strap to make feet to attach to a branch.
Works pretty good!

How do I get the bird pattern?
Right here is the perfect web site for anyone who wishes to find out about this topic.
You know so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want
to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on a subject which
has been written about for decades. Great stuff, just
great!
How do I print the pattern. I went to the PDF file, but no instructions to print.
Thank you so much for this fun and simple project. I am going to make a bunch to string across my craft studio. I love birds and have wanted a simple pattern to make these cuties. Thank you.
I just posted several refinements and corrections I made to this pattern, let me know what you think…(lots of photos, too!)http://theinboxjaunt.com/2013/06/05/mister-blue-bird-a-work-in-progress/
