Cool Webtool: BridalCanvas.com

The latest tool for making inspiration boards online, sans the need for a fancy schmancy design software is BridalCanvas.com.  Since it’s web-based, it makes it easy to share your “vision” with vendors and bridal party.  Pick from among the site’s preloaded elements and real wedding images, or upload your own from your collection.  Pssst, they have prizes too if you’re voted Favorite Canvas of the Week/Quarter/Year.  So yeah, give it a spin, folks!  And share your inspiration boards in our iDiY Flickr pool.  We’d love to see what inspires you!

Vintage Postcards Wrapper

I first heard of Eddie Ross from The Martha Show’s Blogging episode last summer and instantly became a fan.  He’s a flea market and thrift store enthusiast who decorates, cooks, entertains, and is an avid DIY’er.  If you haven’t already, you should check out his blog for tons of inspiration!  Here’s one of my faves:  Enlarge vintage postcards on a color copier and use them as wrapping paper for small gifts.

Or use them to wrap food cans for some pretty flower containers.

You can view the video and instructions here, from MarthaStewart.com.  And for sourcing your vintage postcards and ephemera, be sure to check our post on Collage Images for free downloads.
