Favor Idea: Girl Scout Cookies
‘Tis the season for Girl Scout cookies once again! And here’s my favor idea #278 for our wedding, haha. I originally wanted us to make a donation to a cause/charity but still give out guests a little something, so I figured why not do both by having Girl Scout cookies. Unfortunately, the long-haul transport to our destination wedding would have probably left us with just cookie crumbs, so I had no choice but to go with #279

Anyhoo, in case anyone’s interested, here’s a link to the Girl Scout Cookies website where you can search for cookie sales by zip code. I was particularly eyeing the Thanks-A-Lot cookies. I love the embossed Thank You that’s kinda like an homage to the Martha cookies with stamped initials, minus the DIY bakefest, heehee.

You can split them up and repackage them in little favor boxes with a custom tag (time to show off that DIY monogram!), some pretty decorative paper in your color scheme, or in a cellophane bag with coordinating ribbon. Yum!

Ode To Domino
It’s a bit late for me to blog about this as the news had already gone around bloglandia since the announcement. But I’m truly sad about Condé Nast’s decision to stop publication of my ultimate fave mag, so please indulge me for a moment. Oh Domino, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
- I’ve been your subscriber from Day One and always look forward to getting my copy in the mail every. single. time.
- Your manifesto is incredibly spot on to my design philosophy. You’ve spoken to those of us who aspire for high-end style sans the bajillion-dollar-budget.
- Thanks to you, I wasn’t afraid to mix styles and my home certainly makes me happy! And yup, it’s ok to NOT be finished.
{Our home featured on the Ofifteenmag }

- Why I even scoured the end of the interwebs to find one of your signature fonts, the Courtney Dorkling! Fellow fans, it’s free for download here.
Rest in peace, Domino. You will be dearly missed.
