Let’s see–I would start by using this to make hang tags for all my Christmas presents, especially the cookies I am making for my coworkers. Then I will probably get to work on making cards that I will use to write to my boyfriend and friends that live far away–I’ve been saying for a while now that I need real stationary, but I haven’t found any that’s really me. Well nothing is more “me” than something I’ve made. Last but not least, I am getting married (haven’t set a date yet) and this is EXACTLY what I need!

And it’s the coolest DIY tool since the Gocco!

Hello! What an exciting post! I was just surfing the internet the other day trying to find more information on diy letterpressing. I love paper goods – especially after seeing such creativity on display in etsy – but I’d first be using this awesome press to craft some invites to my wedding! After that…thank you’s, ‘thinking of you’s’, love notes for my loved ones…anything I can think of!

368 catherine { 11.12.09 at 8:37 pm }

Oooooooooh! I never knew such a machine existed! What would I do with it? What wouldn’t I do with it! Definitely use it on all the invites, table numbers, thank you cards, etc for the wedding. I bet it would make some really gorgeous holiday cards too!

369 Natalie { 11.12.09 at 8:38 pm }

Letterpress looks so sophisticated!! I need a unified look for the paper of my wedding. I would love to letterpress a peacock feather on my invitations, programs, escort cards, table numbers, everything!!

370 Brittany N. { 11.12.09 at 8:38 pm }

Oh, man! I’m excited for this one! I would definitely letterpress our invites!

371 Charyne { 11.12.09 at 8:39 pm }

I would do so much with this letterpress. First off, I would send “just because” cards to everyone in my address book just to try it out, then I would make my Christmas cards. Finally, I would tel my friend that is getting married about it and we could design her wedding invitation together. It would pretty much be amazing.

376 Kelly { 11.12.09 at 8:41 pm }

Oh my goodness, I would do EVERYthing with this–gift tags, all correspondence, home decor, etc!

377 Alicia { 11.12.09 at 8:41 pm }

love love love all the possibilities I could do with the letterpress. Just finished designing my STD’s: http://sunburstsouvenirs.com/countingcrows/savethedate1.jpg and am looking for a luxe way to do amazing invitations all on my own. Way excited to DIY all of my paper products and the home letterpress would be the perfect way to give it the “wow” factor

I LOVE letterpress and love the idea of making it accessible for home use. I really would like to make stationery and cards for my friends and family as gifts (it’s what I’m leaning toward for this year’s holiday gifts). Also, I’ve always wanted my very own letterpress business cards.

My creative brain is being smothered by my 9-5 cubical. Co-workers are sick of my doodles on all available scratch paper. I would love to break free and put my art to work. I would use it to go along with my photography for invitations, thank you cards and invites. As well as art for mostly myself, and hopefully others!

I would use it for my wedding, and christmas is coming, but mostly I’d use it for Operation Quiet Comfort, which is an organization that sends care packages to wounded soldiers in overseas hospitals. I make card for months, and then send off a crate once I accumulate enough. Most are simple “thank you”s. We don’t want people to say “Get well soon”, some of these men and women will never get better. But we do look to spread a little bit of cheer!

I was trying to rope my dad into helping me construct a make shift one he things the best idea is to rig up his log splitter with some sort of a letterpress device and although he’s excited to try it out I’m a little on the worried side. I would much prefer to test the L Letterpress instead. :)

I have been searching for a letterpress for years now, I actually didn’t know about this company’s product. I just graduated college with a degree in graphic design, where I fell in love with the letterpress process. I letterpressed our wedding invitations and have a poster circulating in a traveling letterpress show, but I can’t continue to foster my love for it. I am about to open my own design studio with my husband and I have always wanted to create stationary, invitations, I LOVE letterpressed business cards, etc. Haha basically I would letterpress anything and everything. My website is http://www.lindsaybenson.com if you would like to see the wedding invitations I last did!

Thanks,

I’ve just gotten engaged (yeah) and have a plethora of wedding paper projects that need the letterpress touch (double yeah) ie. invites, menu’s, thank you cards, etc. I am in letterpress paper love!! :)

I love letterpress stationary. I even looked into purchasing an Adana letterpress but it was too expensive and out of my budget. What wouldn’t I do with the L Letterpress! I am getting married next year and I am planning on making my own all my wedding stationary. So the L Letterpress would be perfect. Plus my friend asked me to be a bridesmaid so I would make all of her wedding stationary too. I may possibly quit my job and just make beautiful cards and stationary all day long!

776 Lydia { 11.13.09 at 2:06 pm }

I would love to make Thanksgiving place cards with it!

777 Jensine { 11.13.09 at 2:09 pm }

L Letterpress makes me think of L Letterpress is for Love (C is for cookie) In addition to all the wedding details I want to make including a homemade crossword puzzle and drink swirlers – what a great way to send special cards and notes to all the people you care about that go the extra mile for you all the time. Its the personal touches that go a long way in people’s hearts.

780 Cathy { 11.13.09 at 2:10 pm }

THIS is cool! Like everyone else said, “what wouldn’t you do with a letterpress!” After reading about this giveaway I day dreamed about making cards and stationary with a “heart theme” to help raise awareness of congenital heart disease- something that is near and dear to both me and my 13m. old son.

795 Whitney { 11.13.09 at 3:01 pm }

This would be perfect for our wedding invitations – we’re putting together pocketfold invitations with a chiyogami sash and an embossed double happiness symbol on the front. We’ve had trouble finding a printing medium we’re happy with – letterpress would be the perfect finishing touch so the invitation would be DIY from start to finish!

796 Sihui { 11.13.09 at 3:02 pm }

I am a fairly new designer of wedding invitations – (please pardon my ‘portfolio’ on Etsy, I am a brand new mom, and I simply don’t have time to update what’s in my shop to reflect my most current designs!)

I have just recently started sending my designs OUT to letterpress for clients – while I don’t think that I will ever have time to both a) design and b) physically do the letterpress for a client vs. outsource, THIS letterpress couldn’t be more perfect for my own personal stationery!!!

I can’t afford to send my own personal designs (as opposed to those I’m doing for clients) for birth announcements, Christmas cards, etc.. out to be letterpressed – but this is an ingenious way to have the same look, for just the cost of materials! YIPPEE!!!!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that I will be a winner in this give away; I would make L proud to showcase the designs that I’d come up with for them to put on their site ; )

Thank you for the opportunity!

Jennifer
