Pine Cone Beauties

They’re simple yet festive, versatile yet inexpensive.  Here’s some of my fave DIY pine cone lovelies that can go from a charming woodland affair to an elegant fall or winter celebration.

From Sweet Paul: a nice alternative to the traditional door wreath

diy bridal shower orange beautiful 2

I came across this gorgeous DIY bridal shower put together by Laura over at Orange Beautiful for her sister recently. From the lovely palette to the DIY he says-she says game card and faux gold leaf centerpieces,  there’s plenty of adorable deets to file away for your next celebration.  Hop on over and get all The Scoop here.

P.S. Does the he says-she says font look familiar? You can get it here. Yup, 100% free.

Clear Bottle Candle Holders

clear bottle candle holders

I am so stealing this eco-chic tabletop candle display idea from the December 2009 issue of Elle Decoration UK, via Happy Mundane. Note the clever mix of same-height clear water/wine bottles with the varied candle lengths. LOVE! Perfect for the holidays and beyond! No flowers needed 😉

Font: Chunk

What a fantastic (and FREE!) typeface by Meredith Mandel. It’s reminiscent of those old Western style woodcuts and old-timey broadsheet headlines, that makes me think of my fave David Stark installation for the MET Opera Gala. Download this super-bold slab serif awesomeness from The League of Moveable Type. Enjoy!
