Fastfood takeout lovers, don’t throw that drink caddy from last night just yet!  Check out this fab DIY re-use of kraft drink carriers (from Sonic!) by Dandee Designs. Great as gifts to friends or as eco-chic centerpieces for your next party (use them to decorate your tables then share with guests afterwards as favors).  And that awesome “HELLO” banner?  Why it’s a free download to boot. Woot!

Because you know I can’t get enough of labels (particularly the French vintage kind ;-) ), here’s a few more to incorporate bright and happy as ‘lemonade’ into your celebration.  And for some Tuscan (Provence?) flair, I’m loving the garland embellished with citrus fruits. The beautiful green leaves and the aromatic citrus fruits (not to mention the yummy mix of royal blues and yellows!) create a tantalizing combination, don’t you think?  Totally bookmarking these for future use!

Happy weekend folks!

DIY Aqua Mason Jars

Love those ol’ blue mason jars but feel like skipping the flea markets or the steep shipping costs from eBay or Etsy? Well hear ye, hear ye!  Did you know that you can mimic the aqua/turquoise look on clear jars with the help of some transparent glass paint? I know, right! Check out this DIY how-to guide from the Bridal Buzz.  And the bottomline? About $1.50 ea. for a case of 12 jars. Sweet, ain’t it?

DIY Watercolor Silhouettes

diy watercolor stencil

L-O-V-E this!  Now we can all channel our inner Monet and create our own watercolor masterpiece with this DIY technique from Kate of The Lettered Set.  The above example was done using a stencil printed from a free online clip art source. But you could always use your own silhouette profile or any favorite phrases or illustrations as stencils and personalize some stationery, decor, or gifts– and not just for the wedding either (hello Mother’s Day notecards!). Ahh, can you imagine the possibilities?
