Fastfood takeout lovers, don’t throw that drink caddy from last night just yet!  Check out this fab DIY re-use of kraft drink carriers (from Sonic!) by Dandee Designs. Great as gifts to friends or as eco-chic centerpieces for your next party (use them to decorate your tables then share with guests afterwards as favors).  And that awesome “HELLO” banner?  Why it’s a free download to boot. Woot!

Love those ol’ blue mason jars but feel like skipping the flea markets or the steep shipping costs from eBay or Etsy? Well hear ye, hear ye!  Did you know that you can mimic the aqua/turquoise look on clear jars with the help of some transparent glass paint? I know, right! Check out this DIY how-to guide from the Bridal Buzz.  And the bottomline? About $1.50 ea. for a case of 12 jars. Sweet, ain’t it?

An easy and inexpensive trick for a multitude of things– Fabric as paper!  Turn your favorite vintage fabric (a small sample or scrap would do) into envelope liners with this tutorial from Posie Gets Cozy.  You basically cut the fabric into an envelope liner shape using a template and then scan it in for more color copies.  No fancy paper necessary. Check it out!

Another upcycling great for your old bottles!  From The Martha and I Suwanee: Spruce up bottle interiors with glass enamel paint to create new vases!  I think I better start collecting leftover San Pellegrinos and Trader Joe’s limeade bottles from now on.  All this sea-foam-blue-green-seaside shades of pretty just makes me happy!

Such a charming number display, don’t you agree?  Just add color with single blooms (mmm, pink peonies!) in recycled/vintage bottles for an eco-chic tablescape.  Head on over to the Savvy City Farmer’s blog for a great and easy stencil tutorial.
