Flickr Find: DIY Log Cake Stand

Handcrafted by the groom for their wedding cake, via EB Cakes’ Flickr:
The groom is a carpenter and he made these sanded log stands for the simple, natural wedding cake. The flowers (picked fresh from the garden) sat in little saucers of water on top of the fondant.
I know, right? Le sigh.

Aahhh, so excited! BBQs, summer soirees, warmer weather, road trips, beach excursions, and the abundance of fruits… glorious fruits! I’m looking for an excuse to par-tay soon just so I could try and sink my teeth into these fruity delights

DIY Milk Bottle Vases
Would you believe me if I told you…
that these vases…

along with these …

… were recycled Starbucks’ frapuccino bottles?!?! OMG, how totally ingenious is that?! Top photo shows them spray painted in white, pink and deep red. But I can imagine them in other pretty colors as well. Maybe seafoam green or pale aqua… ooohh la la! Get the instructions here from Maize Hutton. Kickin’ caffeine buzz here we come!!
