DIY Ice Cream Drumstick + Free Printables
I don’t care that summer is now officially over (in my part of the world anyway), I’m definitely gonna try this! Love the fact that I can make them in any flavor I want, squeee!

If you’re planning on making some for a shower or party, or maybe as a special treat for your bridesmaids/friends during, ahem, a marathon DIY session, Instructables has all the deets in this tutorial. And while you’re at it, kick up your presentation a notch with these fab and free printable ice cream gift tags, courtesy of Eat Drink Chic. Enjoy!

Fabric Markers

Thank you, dear Mer Mag for this sweet introduction to the wonderful world of fabric markers. I had no idea that you could also doodle, scribble and write onto fabrics! Been thinking about personalizing muslin gift bags for the coming holidays and this would be perfect! Now off to the craft store I go. xoxo

DIY Doodle Cards
Here’s the cool D-I-doodle I promised earlier. Aimee at Artsyville shares this tutorial for turning your black & white doodles into something as groovy as these…

What you need: a scanner, a color printer, Photoshop (or some similar photo-editing software) and of course, your masterful doodles

Don’t forget some colored cardstock/cover paper.

Basically, what you do is: (1) scan your black and white doodle at hi-res; (2) open the image in Photoshop; (3) pick a color that’s closest to the color of your paper; (4) colorize with the Magic Wand and Fill tool; (5) print…

.. and cut to desired size. Ta-da!

No colored cardstock? No problemo. Breathe As Me has modified instructions for printing onto white cardstock.

Mydears, I can see oodles of doodle-ized invites, thank you cards, envelopes, favor wraps, and gift tags in my future. Any one else? Chime in!

Doodle Fonts
For all ye non-doodlers (like moi) out there, rejoice!

You too can try your hand at designing some doodle-licious stationery and party goodies with these FREE doodles from Fonts for Peas. Check out my attempt at being artsy (okay, please don’t laugh as I’m no graphic designer). I just played a little with the font sizes, angles and backgrounds in Photoshop using a combination of Pea KT, Pea Lauren and Pea Stacy’s New Doodles. Full disclosure: see that cute cow from Pea Tisha’s Doodles? It almost made it in there. Almost. Hehe.
Next post, I’ll show you one more thing you can do with your doodles.
